Rene

Clinical Psychologist

Rene Martin-Harris

Rene is passionate about helping clients feel seen and understood, and supporting them to improve their mood, physical wellbeing and a connection with their life’s purpose. She practices from a cognitive and behavioural model, often with an acceptance and mindfulness-based approach, however this is tailored to the client. She has expertise in treating depression, anxiety, eating disorders and borderline personality disorder. However, a psychologist is like a personal trainer for your mind, you do not need to be suffering to improve your mental health and therapy doesn’t need to be intense.

Rene is a clinical psychologist with over 10 years of experience. Over that time she has worked for SA Health at the Statewide Eating Disorder Service and various community mental health teams, as well as for the Department for Education as a school psychologist at Glenunga International High School.

In her spare time Rene enjoys hiking, camping, cooking and spending time with her family. She is very excited to join us at Mitcham General Practice!
